Mercedes - The story of the star

Close-up of a polished chrome side-view mirror on the door of a teal vintage car, with shiny chrome window trim; the background is a softly blurred indoor showroom.

A dark blue vintage race car on display indoors, featuring bold white "Castrol" branding along its side and the number 62. The rear wheel with a Michelin tire is visible, and the background shows exhibition banners and people at an auto show.

A close-up view of a vintage car’s cockpit. A large wooden steering wheel with orange-brown grips sits in front of a textured metal dashboard filled with round gauges. On the left is a Celsius temperature gauge, in the center a small gauge labeled “Oel” (oil), and to the right a larger black-faced gauge with white markings. The perforated metal footwell and pedals are visible below, with a blurred street scene and other cars in the background.

Front three-quarter view of a glossy dark-gray vintage car with rounded fenders, a large round headlight, chrome grille and bumper, orange marker light, and whitewall tires, on display at an indoor classic-car exhibition with other vintage vehicles in the background.

Red vintage Mercedes race car, number 35, covered in sponsor decals (AMG, Bosch, Bilstein, SEGÁ, 100 Octane) with a chrome grille and Mercedes emblem, large round headlights, and white-and-black striped front wheel covers. It's displayed on a blue carpet indoors, with a Christmas tree and string lights in the background.

Interior of a vintage red car featuring a cream steering wheel, chrome dashboard with round gauges, red leather seats, and a white-shift knob; a chrome trim and a “300 SL” badge on the dash, with people and other cars visible outside through the windshield.

Interior of a classic green Mercedes, viewed from the driver’s seat. A large circular steering wheel with the Mercedes emblem dominates the foreground. The dashboard features three analog gauges (speedometer, tachometer, fuel) with round vents and wood trim. The center console houses climate controls and a manual gear shifter with a leather boot. Green plaid upholstery covers the seats and door panels, and other vintage cars are visible outside.

A glass-display scene of vintage toy cars. A bright blue Mercedes-Benz tow truck carries a sleek silver race car on its flatbed (the door shows “MERCEDES-BENZ Rennabteilung”). In front of the truck is another long, silver open-wheel race car with a blue interior. A small plastic figure of a man in a dark shirt and light pants stands to the right, observing the models. The display is on a white surface with reflections in the glass.

Side view of a vintage turquoise two-door car with a white roof and chrome trim, displayed indoors. The driver-side door is closed, revealing tan leather interior; a chrome mirror and a Mercedes hubcap are visible in the foreground.

Red vintage Mercedes-Benz convertible with gullwing doors raised, parked indoors at a car museum. It has a tan leather interior and luggage in the rear, a chrome front bumper and round headlights, and a black plate reading “AUTOWORLD BRUSSELS.” In the background are other classic cars and glass-walled exhibits.

Front three-quarter view of a silver Mercedes-Benz convertible on display at Autoworld Brussels. The car features a red interior with the top down, chrome bumpers and grille, round headlights, and white-wall tires equipped with Mercedes hubcaps. It sits on a black display platform outlined with a red line, with other vintage cars visible in the background.
